November 11th Meeting

Parents please stop in at the beginning or end of the meeting. You will need to pick up Burger Basket Fundraiser tickets, popcorn, and pay the first 1/2 of your scout's dues. Thank you!

Cooking Merit Badge

Scouts November 11th will our final week working on the cooking merit badge. We will be cooking & doing team building activites. All scouts that wish to receive this merit badge must have it turned in to the Scoutmasters by 12/10/2013. After this date you will have to start over again. In 2014 the cooking merit badge becomes an Eagle Required badge. It will have different objectives.

Rendezvous Details

The scouts from Troop 7 have been asked to do the trash pick up at the Rendezvous site again this year. Scouts are able to camp with Troop 7 at the Rendezvous this weekend. The cost is $5 per day attending. Below is a list of activities & items needed. If your scout would like to attend please contact Nick or Mike.

• Thursday Oct. 3rd Trash Run at 6:00 pm. Meet by Dumpster in the parking lot. Dress for the weather & bring good gloves.
• Friday Oct. 4th  Camping begins at 5:00 pm. Tents provided by Troop for scouts. Leaders must bring their own tent. Pack all camping items in plastic tote. Bring normal camping gear, (sleeping pad, rain & warm weather clothes, boots and gloves, mess kit, water bottle, etc). Bring your scout book and spending $ if you wish.   ***Class B T-shirt Required!!***
• Saturday Oct. 5th Trash runs as needed. Leaders will look over achievements in scouting books to see where your scout is at.  Court of Honor at 5:00 pm. Potluck meal after final trash run at Rendezvous. Troop will provide chili, paper products & beverage. Bring Class A Uniform for Court of Honor ceremony. Dutch Oven Cook Off Contest. Secret Ingredient is "white chocolate"
• Sunday Oct. 6th  Trash runs as needed. Pick up time for your scout will be announced at Court of Honor.

Parent Parking--The scouts camp close to the disc golf area.  The parking/lot attendant can direct you where to go to drop off your scout.

Popcorn Show & Sell

Troop 7 Boy Scouts will be at HyVee and Nelson's Saturday September 21st with our popcorn fundraiser! If your scout needs a shift, please have him contact our "Popcorn Kernel" Eric or Brandy. Wear your Class A uniform to this event! Don't forget our "Leave no Trace" at Hammer Field as well 7:30 am Saturday. Please dress for the weather and bring gloves. See you there!
